Everything diabetes

A run is always around the corner and this time is no different! If you are in Pune this weekend, join us for the October Run at Viman Nagar on Sunday, 20th October 2019 by registering on this link. The more, the merrier - feel free to bring along your friends and family by registering their names on the link too! Our fun runs are followed by a healthy, hearty breakfast patronized by KEM Hospital, Pune. The weather in Pune is getting better and the early birds would have noticed the slight nip in the air that has only just begun. We will start and finish our run at the scenic Udaan Biodiversity Park tucked away in Viman Nagar.

Join us for the run this Sunday morning!

The Udaan Biodiversity Park is a unique biodiverse ecosystem. It houses a lot of plants (including some rare species) endemic to Maharashtra and there are signboards in English, Marathi and Braille that provide information about the plants. The park also houses vermicompost pits and a farm where local residents don the hats of community farmers doing edible gardening. It will be a most wonderful experience spending a Sunday morning amidst birdsong, crunching leaves and calls of nature.

Here's a quick low down on the month gone by.

September Run at Salisbury Park

It rained at our run for the third consecutive month but that has never stopped all the happy faces from waking up and showing up for a fun run. We ended our 5km run at the pretty little Poonavala Garden at Salisbury Park and followed it up with some low carb wraps and a chocolate treat for breakfast. Our tummies and our BGs, both stayed happy.

Blogs

In a series of firsts, we also launched our first comic blog, crafted by Rohan in September. We write about everything from diabetes technology to low carb and a whole section on getting started if you're new to diabetes or simply need a refresher, like we all do sometimes. If you'd like us to write about something, do let us know.

Here's a link to the resource of information that is our blog.
